Ellen Sirleaf and Charles Brumskine attack each other

Monrovia 4 November 2017 – The electoral impasse in Liberia is gradually degenerating into battle between the ruling party and president Sirleaf on one hand, and the Liberty party and the president on the other hand.

Following the attack of Joseph Boakai’s Unity Party on the president; accusing her of manipulating the election, the sharp response of president who denied such allegation and accused her vice president of trying to disrupt the peace process in the country, it is now Charles Brumskine and the president who are on a display of attacks and counter attacks.

On Thursday Charles Brumskine accused Ellen Sirleaf of being undemocratic and war loving politician in an interview with international journalists.

“I don’t want to be like President Sirleaf who in 1985, decided to chose war after she was defeated during the senatorial election. I have decided to go to the law. I will not waste blood the way she did.” Brumskine said.

Reacting to the statement made by Charles Brumskine, the minister of information Eugene Nagbe said Brumskine is failing to realize that the Liberian people don’t want him.

“Brumskine has never crossed the third position in several elections he has taken part in. He has never got more than 7%. He is so greedy for power that he wants to look for scapegoat. He is the one who served the bloody regime of Charles Taylor as a handpicked President of the senate.” Eugene Nagbe said.
